Drainage

Drainage -
The Indus Valley Civilization was the first to create and implement a drainage system for the community in which they lived and worked. The system they developed was far more advanced than some in present day Pakistan and North India. This system is designed to remove surface and subsurface water from an area. Soils in agricultural areas require the utilization of this system in order to produce satisfactory crops and vegetation. Drainage is best operated when done in the warmer months of spring and summer. Wetland soils, coastal plains, river deltas, and tree fruit production are some popular reasons for drainage.
